Get your business found on the web

POWERFUL & ENGAGING WEBSITES

Designed by Print and Graphics Professionals for Your Printing Business

In the market today, a website is an essential business asset which can be leveraged to increase your exposure and credibility. We have worked in the printing industry for over 33 years and we know how to design websites for printers.

This is a Done For You (DFY) service! We will design, publish and host your website, and purchase domain names or provide branded emails, if needed. On this website you will find resources to guide you through the process of creating compelling content for your website, but if writing website text is not in your wheelhouse, we can even do the writing for you, for a nominal fee.

This website strategy was developed to allow your website to grow right along with your business. We have created three interrelated levels. You can start at the foundation level, the Silver Tier, to get your business on the internet as quickly as possible. As your business grows you can upgrade into the marketing package that is part of the Gold Tier, and finally if you acquire larger clients with document libraries, you can upgrade to the Platinum Tier to provide custom services for your clients.

3 LEVELS TO MEET ANY BUDGET

These tiers are designed to be built one upon the other in a systematic progression with the foundation tier supporting the next two levels. The Gold Tier builds on the Silver Tier and the Platinum Tier builds on what has already been created in the Gold Tier. You may choose to start at any level but the fees for that level and the lower level(s) will apply, if not already paid.

Silver Level - The Foundation Tier

This level establishes the base for your website and includes encrypted security, mobile compatibility, SEO, and hosting with maintenance (see definitions). The Silver Tier will create your branded digital identity on the internet. It will include information about your company, about you, and it gives clients and prospects an easy way to contact you, including one touch dialing from a smart phone. This level will be custom designed in your preferred colors, and it will help to establish your brand.

This foundation website is your anchor in cyberspace and all your social media marketing, email marketing and customer interactions should point back to this website.

The cost of the Silver Level is $495 plus hosting at $39 per month.

At this level you might also need to buy a domain name, and obtain a branded email

Domain names typically cost $30 each and are renewed annually.

Branded emails (for example bob@SuperiorPrinting.com as opposed to bob@yahoo.com) cost $10 each monthly. Branded emails are more professional and help your customers identify with and remember your brand.

Gold Level - The Marketing Tier

This tier adds to the Silver Level features with a robust ongoing marketing program to help your business grow steadily over time. The marketing program includes 2 monthly e-newsletters that are linked directly to a blog page that will be added to your website.  The syndicated copy for the blog posts (2 per month) and the e-newsletters keep your business present in the minds of your clients and prospects. The e-newsletters are DFY (done for you) and sent directly to your client’s email address.

Your client database is maintained and managed for you. If you already have a list of prospect or client emails you can send us the list and we’ll start with this as your database. As you develop more leads from your website and blog, they will be automatically added to your database.  Your blog posts provide useful information for your ideal prospect and encourages them to sign up for your newsletter. The newsletters drive people back to your website. This interactive relationship between the e-newsletters and your website helps elevate your website in organic search results because there is a growing stream of visitors connecting to your site.

In addition to the e-newsletters, blog page, and 2 done-for-you (DFY) syndicated blog posts per month, the Gold Level expands your website to include a file transfer protocol (FTP) link, so your clients can upload large files to you via your website. (for more information about FTP, click here.) Additionally, it will include a secure payment portal, so clients can make a deposit on a job, or pay an invoice on your secure website. Many clients like the convenience of paying online, and this feature will save you time. (for more information about secure payment portals, click here.)

The Gold Level components take your business to an entirely new level because the Gold features are customer centered add-ons which provide useful information and tools for your clients. These features coupled with the Silver Level components gives you a fully functioning customer centric website to help grow your business.

The cost of the Gold Level components, which include the blog page, 2 monthly syndicated blog posts, creation and distribution of bi-weekly branded e-newsletters, personal database management, FTP page, and secure payment portal will cost $395 per month (3-month minimum commitment, paid in advance.) Hosting services are included in the monthly fee.

If you are starting at the Gold Tier because you want the robust customer centric features of the Gold Tier, we will still need to develop the Silver level pages to complete your website so all Silver level fees will be added to Gold Level pricing.

Platinum Level – The Mastery Tier

This tier will be useful for some business models but is not necessary for everyone.  At the Platinum Level we will add a password protected document library for your client’s use.  Behind this password protected barrier your designated client(s) can see their regularly ordered forms and documents, and the typical quantities ordered. Your client(s) can order documents right from your website and an email will be sent to them acknowledging the order and you will receive an email with the customer’s name and the order details.

This feature is particularly useful for organizations with multiple offices or for businesses which have a large inventory of unique printed documents they rely on for their ongoing business operations.

Inside the customer portal, your client can view a PDF image of each form and a description of that document, plus the typical quantities ordered (PDF’s, form name, description, and appropriate order quantities, are supplied by you).  Your customer can quickly reorder any of those documents, by clicking on the desired quantity and filling out the online form (to identify who placed the order, and where the order is to be delivered).  Once you get a customer in your customer portal and accustomed to ordering from you, it is very difficult for your competition to steal them away because your website becomes part of their back-office operation.

The cost for the Platinum Level is $200 set-up fee for each unique client plus $15 for each form to be added to the customer’s form library. These fees are one-time charges unless you or your customer(s)  modifiy documents in their library.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Branded emails

Once you have your domain name if you want to purchase branded emails, they cost $10 each per month.  We highly recommend this as a branding tool. If you just use your AOL or Gmail or Yahoo email address it does nothing to enhance your brand.  However, if you never check the new email address or know how to set it up in your third-party email program (like Outlook) then having a branded email may be counterproductive.

Blog Post Content - Syndicated

As described above two unique blog posts will be added to your blog every month. The cost of the writing and posting are included in your monthly Gold tier fees.

Database Management

Database management is part of your Gold tier subscription and consists of up to 1500 contacts. These are your clients and prospects. The list is supplied by you and then augmented by the sign-up form on your website. We will maintain this database, for additions, and unsubscribe messages if you want to add a person to your list, just fill out the subscribe to my newsletter form on your own website and they will be automatically added to your database.  If your database exceeds 1500 you will be charged an additional $25 monthly.

Domain Name(s): Research & Purchase

We can do the research for available domain names and purchase them for you at $30 each annually.  We have several clients who own more than one domain name. In fact, we have one client that owns six because he didn’t want anyone else to own the .org, .biz, .co, etc. version of their company name. If your company name with the extension .com is already taken we can determine if one of the other extensions is available or search for a different name altogether.

e-Newsletters

The creation and distribution of two unique customer centric e-newsletters is included in your Gold tier monthly subscription. The e-newsletters will be branded with your company information and logo and sent to your database twice a month. These newsletters are part of your branding and help to elevate your business in the minds of your prospects. The content in the newsletters will include information about printing, business tips, marketing ideas and other material of general interest to business professionals.

Photos

As mentioned above the best source for photos are original pictures you have taken, or high-quality photos supplied by reputable stock photo bureaus. We can purchase appropriate royalty free photos for your site at $45 each, or you can send us your hi resolution images. Most sites contain both.

Website Text Writing

If writing website text is not in your wheelhouse, we can do it for you. The cost for this service is $190, it includes two rounds of proofs. Extra proofs, if needed, are $45 each.

DEFINITIONS

Branded emails

A branded email address uses your website name as the location portion in an email address. For example bob@starbucks.com as opposed to a generic email like bob@gmail.com  By using your business name in the email address it gives your name more visibility and it helps with your branding.

Branding

Branding is a broad term referring to the process of creating a perception in the minds of consumers or an audience. For example, Starbucks and Nike are brands and they use their logo, corporate colors, tag lines, and other branding tools to reinforce their identify in the minds of their customers. There are many ways to improve or damage your brand, but it is important for you to think about your brand in everything you do. Using your logo and corporate colors on your website, stationery, business cards, brochures, vehicle wrap, print media, etc. will improve your branding. You need to tell us what your corporate colors are or what they will be.

Domain Name

A domain name is a unique identifier used by the internet to identify a specific website. You must have a unique domain name before you can publish a new website. A domain name is much like the unique physical address of a home or business. There are no two exactly alike so that property can be distinguished from all others by its address. There are internet groups who maintain the records of domain names, who owns them, and the availability of any specific name.  The usage of a domain names is typically purchased annually and as long as a subscription is current the domain name cannot be used by anyone else. You must have a domain name for your website. Ideally the domain name should reflect the name of your business.

FTP

This term stands for File Transfer Protocol and refers to a method for transmitting large files over the internet.  Most email providers limit the size of attachments and in the printing industry many art files exceed the email attachment size limit.  Printers need a way for their clients to securely transfer large files to them and an FTP site is a password protected portion of your Gold Tier website that does just that.

Hosting With Maintenance

To be found on the internet, a website must be hosted on a server. Servers are physical and cloud-based repositories where websites are “parked” so they can be accessed from any device on the internet. These commercial repositories include back-ups and system redundancy to prevent down time, due to storms, power outages, or malicious activity. We provide hosting for sites we build, and we provide monthly maintenance on all sites to confirm that the components, links, and features of the site are working properly.

Logo

A logo is a graphic representation of your business. It may include your business name, like Starbucks or it may not include your company name like Nike's swoosh. If you have a logo send us the native graphic file so we can include it in your website design.

Mobile Compatible

Websites that have been created to adjust the configuration of the display based on the device on which the website is being viewed are called mobile compatible.  They can also be called responsive websites.  Mobile compatibility like SSL Encryption are now required component by search engines of all US websites. All websites we design are mobile compatible.

Photos

There are millions of photos on the internet, but it is unethical and sometimes illegal to copy a photo and republish it. We use authorized photo sites where we purchase photos for distribution.  Even these photo sites have limitations and licensing constraints, so we ask that you provide either royalty free photos, or pictures that you own. Send pictures in the largest available format in JPEG or PNG format.  See Add-on Done-For-You services above for help obtaining appropriate photos.

SEO

This term stands for Search Engine Optimization and includes a broad array of internet components that together effect the ranking of any website during a web search. We utilize all available “white hat“ techniques in your website design to help improve your search results but the search engine algorithms include many components beyond the attributes of your website.

SSL Encrypted Security

Search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and others now require that all US websites have an encrypted security certificate for their website. Historically, only sites with e-commerce were required to have encryption, but in the past 2 years that requirement has been expanded to all US sites.  You can tell when you are on an encrypted site because there is a small lock symbol at the beginning of the URL search box at the top of a search page. Other countries (Canada specifically) do not yet have this requirement but all indications are that this requirement will be part of future changes in search engine algorithms. SSL certificates are sold on an annual subscription basis.  All sites we design include SSL Encryption.

Secure Payment Portal*

This section of your Gold Tier website opens a form where your clients can securely make a payment to your business. The payment is routed directly into your bank account, the client is sent an email receipt and you are notified that a payment has been made. You can use this with your invoicing system or to secure a deposit on new jobs.

*Since this activity involves your business bank account you will need to coordinate with your bank to receive remote payments then provide the necessary links to us.  There are many companies that facilitate this activity, QuickBooks, PayPal, The Square, Authorized.net etc. They all charge monthly subscription and transaction fees.

Syndicated Blog Post

When you purchase the Gold Tier we will add a blog to your website and populate the blog with Done-For-You custom written syndicated content that will include useful and engaging information for your clients and prospects.  The professionally written syndicated post will be written in the voice of a print broker seeking to inform his/her client. It will be written by an English first, print professional.  Examples of this writing style can be seen in the blog on this website.

URL

This stands for Uniform Resource Locator and it refers to the unique address of a website.

The box at the top of any search engine will display the URL. It will start with https:// if the site is secure or http:// if the site is not secure.
